 The "Hero of Artsakh" is awarded for exclusive services in the defence of the state, strengthening its economic might, and for creating significant national values. Individuals awarded with this highest title are also awarded the Golden Eagle Order.

The Golden Eagle Order is awarded to individuals awarded with the highest title of the "Hero of Artsakh"

The Battle Cross Order of 1st and 2nd degrees is awarded to officers and soldiers of the NKR Defence Army for exclusive courage and valour shown during the defence of the Motherland.

The Grigor Lousavorich Order is awarded for exclusive services contributed to the well being of the NKR

The Mesrop Mashtots Order is awarded for remarkable achievements in the spheres of economy, science, culture and health care that substantially contribute to progress and prosperity of the Nagorno Karabagh Republic.

The Medal "For Courage" is awarded to privates, officers and high command staff of the Defence Army of the NKR for personal bravery and courage shown in the course of the military and combat actions, in the defence of inviolability of state border, in the fight against subversive actions, as well as spies and other enemies of the republic. This medal is also awarded to individuals persons not serving in the Defence Army of the NKR for skilful, initiative, brave actions contributing to the military success on the front as well as in ensuring security of the republic’s population, life and health of the people in conditions dangerous for life.

The Medal "For Service in Battle" is awarded to the servicemen of Armed forces, Police and National Security Service, individuals who have contributed to successful performance of combat missions, raising combat readiness of the forces as well as courage shown defending state borders.

The Medal "For Liberation of Shoushi" is awarded to those servicemen of Armed forces, Police and National Security Service who were direct participants of the liberation of Shoushi and other settlements liberated in the course of that operation, as well as organisers and leaders of the Shoushi operation.

The "Mkhitar Gosh" Medal is awarded for outstanding political and public activity.

The "Vachagan Barepasht" Medal is awarded for creative achievements in the spheres of culture, literature, humanities, art, healthcare and charitable activity for the NKR.

The "Anania Shirakatsi" Medal is awarded to architects, scientists, and inventors in all spheres of the Republic’s economy.

The "Gratitude"  medal is awarded to individuals, organizations and collectives for significant contribution in restoring and developing economy, science, culture, social spheres of the NKR as well as for defending and promoting international recognition of the Republic.
