On March 4, President of the Republic of Artsakh Arayik Harutyunyan received minister of education, science, culture and sports Lusine Gharakhanyan, heads of Artsakh universities and other officials of the education sector.
The discussion addressed issues on the international accreditation of Artsakh universities and the organization of the educational process of the 2021-22 academic year. President Harutyunyan stated that the citizens of the Republic of Armenia will also enjoy free higher education in Artskah in the new academic year.
Arayik Harutyunyan suggested that the Ministry and universities review the list of academic programs and pay attention to the quality of education, including inviting visiting lecturers if necessary.
"Quality education should become one of hallmarks of Artsakh. The Government will ensure necessary conditions to achieve this goal," the President said and instructed to devise a roadmap towards the afore-mentioned objective.
