February 3, President of the Republic of Artsakh Arayik Harutyunyan received Primate of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, His Grace Bishop Vertanes Abrahamyan and Pontifical Legate with special commitments, His Eminence Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan.
The President expressed gratitude to Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan for his decades-long patriotic mission in Artsakh and sharing the critical moments with the people of Artsakh, pointing to his significant role in the development of the Homeland and maintenance of spiritual values.
According to Arayik Harutyunyan, Pargev Martirosyan has always been and will be the symbol of Artsakh and heroic pages of its history for all the generations, expressing hope that Artsakh will always be reflected in the Holy Father's soul, prayers, and deeds.
The Head of State congratulated Bishop Vertanes Abrahamyan on his appointment as the Primate of the Diocese of Artsakh, expressing confidence that the Diocesan leader will greatly contribute to the consolidation of efforts and strengthening of the people's faith at this critical juncture for the Armenian people.
