On December 2, on the initiative of Artsakh Republic President Arayik Harutyunyan, a
regular meeting was held with the relatives of the servicemen missing in action and prisoners of war as a result of the hostilities unleashed by Azerbaijan on September 27.
The Head of State presented to their attention the results of the search work carried out over the past days, and noted that daily negotiations on this issue are held with representatives of the Russian peacekeeping contingent and the Stepanakert office of the International Committee of the Red Cross.
President Harutyunyan also listened to the proposals of the meeting participants and assured that all efforts are aimed at clarifying the fate of our servicemen. An agreement was reached to increase the efficiency of information communication and promptly notify relatives of any clarified detail related to the search for military personnel.
Ministers of Defense of Armenia and Artsakh Vagharshak Haroutyunyan and Michael Arzoumanyan, Human Rights Defender of Artsakh Artak Beglaryan, Director of the State Service of Emergency Situations Karen Sargsyan took part in the meeting.
