On October 14 President of the Artsakh Republic Arayik Harutyunyan convened an enlarges working consultation during which the results of a large-scale research on the losses, needs, perceptions, resistance recovery and development opportunities of the population affected by the war in 2020 were presented, which was implemented by the ministry of labour, social and migration affairs of the Artsakh Republic and the association of social workers of Armenia with the support of the ''Anna Astvatsaturyan'' foundation and the ''Aurora'' humanitarian initiative.
The primary needs and losses of 20 thousand 297 Artsakh families in Artsakh and Armenia, human capital and available resources, future plans and intentions, as well as accessibility to various public services were studied during the consultation.
After getting acquainted with the results of the research, President Harutyunyan noted their importance in terms of clarifying state programs and increasing their addressability. In particular, the head of state noted that the facts presented should be taken into account when making decisions, which will make the programs more effective.
During the meeting, the President instructed to start works with displaced families sheltered in rural communities with the involvement of newly appointed social workers to find out their desires, needs and opportunities for economic activation and accordingly to provide appropriate programs and resources in the 2022 state budget.
