On 22 June Artsakh Republic President Arayik Harutyunyan convened a working consultation with the participation of the Mayor of Stepanakert, responsible officials of the Ministry of Urban Development and other concerned bodies.
Issues related to the construction of overground and underground passages to unload the capital's street traffic, expansion of the territory of the bus station, dismantling of the former agricultural college and adjacent dormitory buildings and construction of new residential buildings on the site were on the consultation agenda.
As a result of discussing various architectural sketches, the President of the republic instructed to include projects of constructing a number of passages in the 2021 draft state budget. A. Harutyunyan also instructed to make a new architectural project in a short period of time which will give an opportunity to expand the territory of the Stepanakert bus station at the expense of the free space nearby, creating more comfortable conditions for passengers. Discussions on the dismantling of the former agricultural college and adjacent dormitory buildings in the central part of the capital will continue further on.
Artsakh Republic minister of Economy and Industrial Infrastructures Levon Grigoryan, chief advisor to the President Arthur Aghabekyan also attended the consultation.
