On 16 September Artsakh Republic President Arayik Harutyunyan received the delegation led by head of the Penitentiary Service of the RA Ministry of Justice Arthur Goyunyan.
Highly appreciating the level of the established cooperation and in this context highlighting the memorandum signed today with the Artsakh Republic Police, President Harutyunyan noted that within the framework of forthcoming reforms in the sphere, the Artsakh Penitentiary Department will be included in the composition of the Ministry of Justice. According to the republic's President, in order to smoothly organize the process, to improve the conditions in the penitentiary institution, to fully protect the rights of the detainees, the consultative assistance of the relevant structures of the RA Ministry of Justice is expected.
In his turn, Arthur Goyunyan expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome, presented the agenda discussed with the Artsakh colleagues and expressed readiness to provide effective support in further work.
Head of the Artsakh Republic Police Ashot Hakobjanyan attended the meeting.
