On 29 August President Arayik Harutyunyan met in Stepanakert Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan.
Issues related to developing the economy and infrastructures of Artsakh, irrigation system building, road constructing, food processing industry were discussed during the meeting.
Arayik Harutyunyan highly evaluated the cooperation level of the two Armenian republics, especially noting the assistance shown by the Government of Armenia and its prompt response to the raised issues. "We will try to complete the year without economic recession. It will be a serious success for us and the next year we plan double-digit growth rates based on the programs which are now being implemented within the frameworks of collaborating with Armenia and which will contribute to ensuring food security of our states",-emphasized the President.
Regarding this Premier Pashinyan noted that Armenia has a great economic agenda with Artsakh though the Novel coronavirus has amended it and we should make more efforts for not only returning to the pre-pandemic period but also register higher level.
The interlocutors also discussed issues on security and foreign policy. Touching upon the military-political situation in the region, Premier Pashinyan stressed that despite the provocations made by the enemy, the tactics and strategy of Artsakh and Armenia's cooperation do not change because those provocations are predictable for us. "We have a big joint agenda on developing and strengthening the armed forces of Armenia and Artsakh Defense Army",- underlined Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia.
