On March 31 President of the Artsakh Republic Arayik Harutyunyan addressed with a condolence message to the family of Karapet Qababjyan, permanent representative of the Republic of Artsakh to the Middle East.
The message reads:
''News on the passing of the permanent representative of the Republic of Artsakh to the Middle East Karo (Karapet) Qababjyan were heard with great sadness. It is the passing of a devoted son of the Armenian people who served, with commitment and endless optimism, the noble cause of the development and strengthening of the Homeland, promoting unity and consolidation of the Armenians all over the world, advancing the patriotic upbringing of the youth, encouraging repatriation.
With an extraordinary legacy both in the Homeland and beyond it, he distinguished himself with initiatives of particular relevance and utility to the Armenian people, advanced the international recognition of Artsakh, did the utmost to ensure socio-economic progress, bringing his undeniable contribution to the implementation of various programs in Artsakh.
Karo Qababjyan has enjoyed the love and respect of the people of Artsakh. His patriotic efforts were acknowledged; Karo Qababjyan was awarded with high state awards for the services rendered to the Republic of Artsakh.
Let me offer my condolences and words of sympathy, those of the people of Artsakh and the authorities, to the family and friends of the deceased, to his party fellows and thousands of mentees whose lives he has touched with geerosity over the years, wishing them endurance and strength of spirit.
The name of the great Armenian and patriot will be recalled with great respect and affection, while his legacy and vision will serve as an example for future generations.
Let me finish by quoting Karo Qababjyan whose words will echo for the generations to come: "Building a strong homeland is possible only with the guarantee of each and every one of us to live, work and build family in the homeland".
