On November 21 President of the Artsakh Republic Arayik Harutyunyan visited the defense direction of Machkalashen community of Martuni region and partook at the opening ceremony of a khachkar-monument established in memory of the victims of the third Artsakh war.

Highly appreciating the heroism of the military and volunteers who performed a combat task in the given defense sector, the head of state noted that only by strengthening the saved part of the Homeland we can achieve the realization of our goals.

Afterwards, President Harutyunyan got acquainted with the construction works of a new irrigation system in Machkalashen community and the construction works of a private house being built for the family of a freedom fighter in Sos community.
During the visit, the President of the Republic also visited the Amaras monastic complex.
