On 13 August Artsakh Republic President Arayik Harutyunyan convoked a working consultation on the issues concerning the course of activities on prohibiting online games, lotteries and betting terminals in the republic.
The Head of the State noted that steps taken in this direction have had a positive impact on the considerable reduction of the number of players and public assessment. However, serious and comprehensive work should be carried on preventing any attempt to circumvent the restrictions.
According to President Harutyunyan, for achieving the intended effect the struggle should be ceaseless and consistent and the mechanisms of blocking ways of circumventing the restrictions - effective, taking into account the progress in the sphere of information technologies.
Reports and proposals on the current situation, problems and ways of their solution were submitted by the heads of corresponding structures.
The President of the republic assigned the heads of concerned structures to start activities on constant Internet monitoring and concretization of the legislation regulating the sphere in a short period of time.
