On 10 July Artsakh Republic President Arayik Harutyunyan received President of the Republic of Armenia Armen Sargsyan who arrived in Artsakh with a working visit.
Welcoming the visit of Armenia's President to Artsakh, Arayik Harutyunyan expressed satisfaction about the high level of cooperation with the Republic of Armenia's authorities, listing within this context the programs that were possible to discuss during the short period of his presidency and outline concrete time schedule for their realization. The Head of the State underlined in his speech that despite the economic problems caused by the pandemic, Artsakh is in need of workforce which is a good opportunity of solving in the homeland the employment issues of our compatriots who leave abroad for work. Referring to the inter-political life of the republic, President Harutyunyan stressed that they managed to create an atmosphere of unity and solidarity with the majority of political powers which will contribute to the solution of the existing problems with joint efforts.
Expressing appreciation for warm welcome, President Sargsyan noted that Artsakh is not only a firm and strong but also a democratic and free republic which was once again proven to the world during the recent presidential and parliamentary elections. He wished success to Arayik Harutyunyan in assuming the high position of the President during this hard and complicated period and expressed confidence that the latter will continue successfully serving the homeland with his experience and knowledge.
After the private conversation of the Presidents, the meeting continued in an enlarged format with participation of the National Assembly chairman Arthur Tovmasyan, secretary of the Security Council Samvel Babayan, government members and other officials.
