On 2 October President of the Nagorno Karabagh Republic Bako Sahakyan signed decrees on awarding. According to the first decree for personal bravery shown in the course of the combat actions defending the Motherland the medal "For Courage" was awarded to Lyova Bakhshiyan. According to another decree for contribution to successful performance of combat missions and for courage shown defending state borders Gagik Asryan and Yuri Sargsyan were awarded the medal "For Service in Battle".
