On 8 July President Bako Sahakyan visited the village of Ughtadzor in Hadrout region and partook in a solemn ceremony of opening a memorial of perished freedom fighters of the Karabagh war. The President awarded some veterans from the village.
After that Bako Sahakyan visited construction sites of the regional hospital, kindergarten and hotel in the town of Hadrout and got acquainted with the appropriate activities. On the same day the President held a working consultation with representatives of the regional administration and local self-government bodies and discussed activities carried out in the region during the last several months, main problems and plans for the future. Touching upon the issue of providing houses to the families of perished freedom fighters, the President expressed his dissatisfaction with course of its fulfillment. According to Bako Sahakyan regional authorities should be more proactive and attentive towards the existing problems as well as carry out strict control over the carried out activities. Only in this case, according to Presidnet Sahakyan, there will be positive results. At the end of the consultation the President answered questions brought up by the participants and noted that such visits would be of a regular nature. NKR premier Ara Harutyunyan and other officials were accompanying the President during the visit.
