President of the Artsakh Republic met co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk group
On 8 September President of the Artsakh Republic Bako Sahakyan met co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk group Robert Bradtke (USA), Igor Popov (Russian Federation) and Bernard Fassier (France. A wide range of issues related to the current stage and prospects of the Azerbaijani-Karabagh conflict settlement were discussed during the meeting. It was mutually noted that any scenario of military solution of the conflict is absolutely unacceptable. At the same time Bako Sahakyan underlined that recent frequent violations of the cease-fire regime by Azerbaijan generate concern and pose a serious threat to regional peace and stability as well as to the efforts by the OSCE Minsk group's co-chairs directed to peaceful settlement of the conflict. Within this context the Head of the State called upon the co-chairs to use their potential and bring Azerbaijan into the constructive stream. Both sides underlined that the Artsakh issue should be settled within the frameworks of the OSCE Minsk Group and any attempts by Azerbaijan to transfer the issue into other instances did not contribute to the settlement of the conflict. Artsakh Republic foreign minister Georgy Petrosyan and personal representative of the OSCE chairman-in-office Andrzej Kasprzyk were present at the talks.
