On 9 September Artsakh Republic President Arayik Harutyunyan met a group of Traffic Police servicemen of the Artsakh Republic Police.
The Head of the State appreciated the consistent and efficient work of the Traffic Police and highligted the need to uphold the principle of equality before the law. At the same time, the President noted that the behavior of Traffic Police officers during the performance of official duties is of utmost importance, demanding to show maximum respect to everyone.
"While performing very important functions, you also form a mood and an opinion about the state and the government. Therefore, the attitude shown towards the citizens of the republic and the guests visiting Artsakh is crucial. I assure you that the authorities have sufficient will and determination to fight against all kinds of vicious phenomena in the system. The supremacy of law has no alternative in our country, thus, while performing your duties you must act only in conformity with the letter and spirit of the law," said Arayik Harutyunyan.
The President of the republic also noted that ensuring the material and technical conditions of the Traffic Police and social issues of the servicemen will always be in the spotlight of the government highlighting within this context the sharp increase in wages of the staff since September 1.
Head of the Artsakh Republic Police Ashot Hakobjanyan was present at the meeting.
