On 1 September in connection with the 18th anniversary of the proclamation of the Nagorno Karabagh Republic a solemn awarding ceremony took place at the office of President Bako Sahakyan.
     The President handed in state awards to a group of officers and privates of the NKR Defense Army, freedom fighters, well-known specialists representing different spheres.
     Congratulating the attendees on the holiday, the Head of the State rated high their input in defending, strengthening, building, and developing Artsakh independent statehood.
     NKR minister of health Armen Khachatryan, chairman of state sports committee under the NKR Cabinet of Ministers Razmik Hovsepyan partook at the ceremony.
