On 6 April President of the Artsakh Republic Bako Sahakyan visited the village of Toumi in the Hadrout region and met representatives of the community.
During the meeting the head of the community presented the activities carried out in 2009 and action plans for the year 2010. Thereafter an exchange of ideas about issues related to the development of the community and the country was held in an immediate atmosphere.
Bako Sahakyan noted that development of the countryside has been among key directions on the agenda of the country's socioeconomic development. According to the President to secure progress in this sphere proper organization of activities, manifestation of initiative and creative approach as well as minimization of bureaucratic red tapes are of pivotal importance.
The Head of the State noted that such meetings would be of periodic nature.
On the same day President Sahakyan visited Stepanakert city gallery and partook at the solemn ceremony of opening exhibition of works of female artists dedicated to the Day of Maternity and Beauty.
