On 10 April President of the Nagorno Karabagh Republic Bako Sahakyan held a meeting with a delegation from the Republic of Armenia arrived in Artsakh on the same day and led by the president of the Armenian National Olympic Committee, member of the Armenian National Assembly and leader of "Prosperous Armenia" Party Gagik Tsaroukyan. The delegation was composed of ministers of municipal engineering, sports and youth affairs as well as rector of the Armenian State Institute of Physical Culture.
At the beginning President Sahakyan and Gagik Tsaroukyan held a meeting in private and touched upon issues related to the development of sports and legalization of various projects in this sphere.
Later on the meeting continued in an enlarged format.
The Head of the State noted that projects to be carried out in Artsakh should start from Shahoumyan region and Karvachar regional center since the development of this region is considered to be of a strategic importance.
Bako Sahakyan noted that realization of joint projects would substantially contribute to the development and strengthening of Artsakh. The importance to have such meetings on a more frequent basis both in the capital and in different regions of the republic was mutually underlined.
NKR premier Ara Haroutyunyan and other officials partook at the meeting.
