On 5 September President of the Nagorno Karabagh Republic Bako Sahakyan visited Martakert regional center and partook at a solemn ceremony of opening a new kindergarten.
The Head of the State noted the importance of having modern preschool establishments in regional centers and in the country side and the important role they play in social and educational spheres.
On the same day the President partook at a ceremony of opening a memorial complex of perished freedom-fighters in the village of Talish and handed in state awards to a group of veteran villagers and NKR Defense Army servicemen.
Bako Sahakyan thanked philanthropist Boris Saghatelyan for his assistance in building the memorial complex.
Head of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan, premier Ara Haroutyunyan, deputy speaker of the NKR National Assembly Rudik Hyusnounts and other officials partook at the events.
