On 6 April President of the Artsakh Republic Bako Sahakyan visited Stepanakert medical college and met with its teaching staff.
Issues related to the activity of the institution and solution of the problems it faces were discussed during the meeting.
The Head of the State underlined that the medical college had an important role in developing the sphere of health care in Artsakh and the state would implement complex programs for improving its working conditions, material and technical basis as well as preparing qualified cadres.
On the same day the President visited also the histological laboratory of the NKR ministry of health's oncological dispensary and inspected its conditions.
Bako Sahakyan noted that much was to be done there for the institution to correspond to modern standards.
Vice-premier, finance minister Spartak Tevosyan and other officials accompanied the President.
