On 19 December President of the Artsakh Republic Bako Sahakyan received member of the European Parliament, standing reporter on the issues of Armenia Tomasz Poręba and accompanying him officials.
Issues related to the Azerbaijani-Karabagh conflict settlement, situation in the region as well as bilateral relationships were discussed during the meeting.
It was mutually noted that the peaceful settlement of the conflict had no alternative and establishing a full-fledged dialogue between all parties to the conflict was necessary for securing final stability.
The Head of the State and Tomasz Poręba considered important the role of Europe in maintaining peace and stability in the region noting at the same time the necessity of giving new impetus to the ties between Artsakh and different European structures. Within this context they noted the importance of visits to Nagorno Karabagh, which would substantially contribute to having a more precise picture of the situation in our republic and the whole region.
Chairman of the Artsakh Republic National Assembly Ashot Ghoulyan and other officials partook at the meeting.
