On 2 September Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan sent a congratulatory address to the President of Pridnestrovien Moldavian Republic Yevgeny Shevchuk.
The address runs as follows:
"On behalf of the people, authorities of the Nagorno Karabagh Republic and myself I cordially congratulate You and the people of the Pridnestrovien Moldavian Republic on the 23rd anniversary of the formation of independent statehood.
The Independent Pridnestrovien Republic proved its viability due to the persistence and courage of its peoples, ready to defend selflessly their honor and dignity, build sustainable future on their own.
Artsakh is closely following the process of state-building and economic development of the Pridnestrovien Moldavian Republic, sincerely rejoicing for the success and achievements of the friendly country.
Respected President Shevchuk, I congratulate You and the people of the Pridnestrovien Moldavian Republic once again on this significant date.
Peace and prosperity to the fraternal Transdniestria!".
