On 1 September a solemn ceremony of awarding in connection with the 22nd anniversary of the NKR proclamation took place at the residence of the Artsakh Republic President.
In his speech Bako Sahakyan ranked the declaration of Artsakh's independent statehood among the country's most important holidays calling it one of the brightest pages in our modern history.
The President congratulated everybody on being decorated with state awards and expressed confidence that with joint efforts and the Armenia-Artsakh-Diaspora unshakable trinity we would achieve the realization of our national goals.
Primate of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan, speaker of the NKR National Assembly Ashot Ghoulyan, other officials partook in the event.
