On 2 March a solemn ceremony of awarding took place at the Residence of the Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan.
In connection with the 80th birthday anniversary and for services rendered to the Nagorno Karabagh Republic in the mining industry development adviser to the NKR President Grigory Gabrielyants was awarded with the "Mesrop Mashtots" order.
Congratulating the jubilee President Bako Sahakyan underlined substantial contribution of academician Gabrielyants not only in the development of mining industry in Artsakh, but also in the cultural life, supporting greatly the foundation of the Shoushi Fine Arts Museum.
Primate of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan, chairman of the National Assembly Ashot Ghoulyan, premier Ara Haroutyunyan, other officials partook in the event.
