On May 24 Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan visited the Martakert region. President Sahakyan attended the final stage of command-staff exercises. Defense minister Movses Hakobyan delivered a report summing up results of the maneuvers. In his speech President Sahakyan underlined that maintaining proper level of the Defense Army's combat readiness and its consistent increase were among key directions of our state building process and everything possible would be done to further strengthen the country's security system. Thereafter the Head of the State held a working consultation in the Martakert regional center on issues related to capital renovation of the town's water supply system. Minister of municipal engineering Karen Shahramanyan and heads of concerned structures delivered reports on the process. Bako Sahakyan mentioned that the work should be carried out thoroughly and within the stipulated time framework, adding that the process would be under his direct control.
