On 4 April in connection with the 20th anniversary of the Qarvachar liberation President of the Artsakh Republic Bako Sahakyan signed several decrees. For bravery shown while defending the NKR borders 12 individuals were awarded with the Medal "For Service in Battle". For substantial contribution to the socio-economic development of the Shahoumyan region of NKR 10 individuals were awarded with the "Gratitude" medal.
