On 21 August Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan sent a congratulatory letter to Catholicos of all Armenians Garegin II in connection with the Supreme Patriarch's birthday.
The letter runs as follows:
"Your Holiness!
On behalf of the Artsakh people, authorities and myself I warmly congratulate You in connection with Your birthday.
With Your patriotic mission You greatly contribute to the reinforcement of the Mother Church and strengthening the independent Armenian statehood. Artsakh always remembers and highly appreciates Your selfless labor.
I once again congratulate You and wish You long life, peace and great success for the glory of Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin and our faithful people".
