On 8 May within the frameworks of festive events dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Victory, the Day of the NKR Defense Army and the Liberation of Shoushi Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan visited the town of Shoushi and laid garland and flowers on the pedestal of the "Tank" monument and to the monuments of Sparapet Vazgen Sargsyan and double hero of the Soviet Union Nelson Stepanyan.
Thereupon the President watched the "From Shoushi to Shoushi" photo-exhibition at the Shoushi Arts Center, partook in a festive concert and trade exhibition held in the town's stadium.
Prime- minister of the Republic of Armenia Hovik Abrahamyan, NKR Second President Arkady Ghoukassyan, Primate of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Pargev Archbishop Martirossyan, NKR NA chairman Ashot Ghoulyan, prime-minister Ara Haroutyunyan, high ranking officials of Artsakh and Armenia, as well as guests from Diaspora and abroad partook in the festive events.
