In connection with the 70th anniversary of the Victory Day, the Day of the NKR Defense Army and the Liberation of Shoushi President Bako Sahakyan signed a range of decrees on awarding.
For exclusive services rendered to the Artsakh Republic chair of the NKR National Assembly standing commission on defense, security and legal issues Janna Galstyan was awarded with the Golden Eagle Order being granted the highest Honorary Title of the "Hero of Artsakh".
For rebuffing the subversive-reconnoitering activities undertaken by the enemy on April 21, 2015, personal bravery and courage shown during the battles one servicemen was awarded with the Battle Cross Order of the Second Degree.
For personal bravery shown during the defense of the Motherland 17 individuals were awarded with the Medal "For Courage".
For successful performance of combat missions, raising combat readiness of the forces as well as courage shown while defending state borders 303 individuals, 11 of them posthumously were awarded with the Medal "For Service in Battle".
For personal bravery shown during the battles for the liberation of Shoushi 25 individuals, one of them posthumously, were awarded with the Medal "For Liberation of Shoushi".
For nurturing deserving sons of the Motherland parents of 3 servicemen heroically martyred while rebuffing the subversive-reconnoitering activities undertaken by the enemy were awarded with the "Gratitude" medal.
For services rendered to the Nagorno Karabagh Republic 3 individuals were awarded with the "Vachagan Barepasht" medal and 6 ones with the "Gratitude" medal. For a long-term patriotic activity two individuals were awarded with the "Gratitude" medal. For consistently representing the rights and interests of the Republic of Nagorno Karabakh in international instances one individual was awarded with the "Gratitude" medal.
