On 2 May Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan received a group of observers from Israel,
Hungary, Czech Republic, Belgium, Estonia, Mexico, Germany, Russia, Zimbabwe, South Ossetia and Armenia having arrived in Artsakh to carry out observation mission at the forthcoming May 3 parliamentary elections.
A number of issues related to the development of democratic institutions and the establishment of civil society in Artsakh, as well as regional processes were discussed at the meetings.
President Sahakyan considered the elections among the most
significant components of democracy, pointing out that holding free and transparent elections had always been one of the substantial achievements of our country.
Bako Sahakyan underlined that Artsakh was interested in deepening relations with the civilized world, highlighting in this process the importance of exchanging experience in various spheres.
