On 5 June Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan convoked a meeting of the Security Council. Issues related to the efficient and safe organization of the crop harvest and the NKR demographic situation in 2013 and during the first quarter of 2014 were on the agenda of the meeting.
Premier Ara Haroutyunyan, agriculture minister Andranik Khachatryan, director of the State Service for Emergency Situations Arthur Haroutyunyan, chairman of the NKR National Statistical Service Karen Nersisyan and other officials delivered corresponding reports and speeches.
The Head of the State gave corresponding instructions to the government and concerned structures for proper realization of the discussed issues.
For effective organization of the harvest activities the President instructed the government to form a situation room headed by the republic's agriculture minister before June 15 of the current year.
With the involvement of concerned structures, the government was also instructed to thoroughly and thoroughly examine issues related to demography and in case of necessity elaborate the draft program of complex measures aimed at improving demographic situation the republic and submit it to the NKR President.
