On 30 December President Bako Sahakyan sent a congratulatory letter to People's Artist of the Republic of Armenia Levon Malkhasyan.
The letter runs as follows:
"Respected Mr. Malkhasyan,
I cordially congratulate You on this Memorable jubilee - 70th anniversary of Your birthday.
You have a great contribution to the development of culture, particularly jazz music in Armenia and strengthening cooperation with different countries in this field.
Your personality and Your art enjoy special respect in Artsakh.
I want also to congratulate You on the New Year and Christmas. I wish peace, robust health and all the best to You, Your relatives and friends".
