On 23 December Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan visited the construction site of the conciliar Church of the Intercession in capital Stepanakert and got acquainted with work carried out there.
The Head of the State underlined that the whole faithful people of Artsakh had been waiting with great anticipation for the opening and full functioning of the capital's Cathedral acknowledging it from the viewpoints of religious upbringing, maintaining cultural and national values. According to the President the completion of the construction activities within the set period of time is significant and demanded.
Primate of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan, mayor of Stepanakert Souren Grigoryan, minister of municipal engineering Karen Shahramanyan and other officials accompanied the President.
