On 26 June Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan visited the Mataghis and Talish villages of the
Martakert region.
The Head of the State got acquainted in Mataghis with the work of a fish hatchery enterprise. Bako Sahakyan qualified this new economic direction as promising, considering important the implementation of such projects on a local level.
The President thereafter got acquainted with the agricultural activities carried out in these sections of the Martakert region and rain irrigation system operating in the areas adjoining the village of Talish. According to Bako Sahakyan the application of modern technologies in agriculture is demanded, and gives a new impetus both to raising the crop capacity developing farming culture.
President Sahakyan also had a meeting with Talish community representatives and discussed issues existing
in the villag
e. The President underlined that the state would further on pay special attention to the development of border settlements stressing its importance from political and economic perspectives.
Prime-minister Ara Haroutyunyan and other officials accompanied the President during the visit.
