On 9 May within the framework of celebrations to mark the 70th anniversary of the Victory Day, the Day of the Nagorno Karabagh Republic Defense Army and Liberation of Shoushi President of the Artsakh Republic Bako Sahakyan attended the Stepanakert Memorial Complex, laid a wreath and flowers to the monuments commemorating martyrs perished in the Great Patriotic World and the Artsakh Liberation Struggle.
Prime-minister of the Republic of Armenia Hovik Abrahamyan, RA second President Robert Kocharyan, NKR second President Arkady Ghoukasyan, primate of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Pargev Martirossyan, chairman of the NKR National Assembly Ashot Ghoulyan, prime-minister Ara Haroutyunyan, high ranking officials from Artsakh and Armenia, guests from the Diaspora and abroad partook in the celebrations.
