On 20 December President of the Artsakh Republic Bako Sahakyan sent a congratulatory address in connection with the Day of the National Security Serviceman.
The address runs as follows:
"Respected servicemen and veterans of the National Security Service,
On behalf of the Artsakh Republic authorities and personally myself I convey my cordial congratulations on your professional holiday.
You carry out a significant service ensuring national security, protection of every member of the society. The interests of the state and the public also depend on the efficiency of your service. Your cooperation with the defense ministry aimed at the protection of the state borders is on a high level.
Citizens of Artsakh should be confident that they live in a secure and safe country. In this matter the role of national security system, professionalism and high moral qualities of its servicemen are of especial importance.
To ensure the successful implementation of your functions, the government carries out consistent work towards equipping the structure with modern technical means and improving the working and social conditions of the servicemen. This policy will be of an ongoing nature.
