On July 17 President of the Artsakh Republic Arayik Harutyunyan received Garik Navasardyan, founder of the "Navasard AGRO" LLC and executive director Armine Melqumyan.
Issues on the implementation of a new poultry farm program in Machkalashen community of Martuni region were discussed at the meeting, which was attended by Artak Beglaryan, minister of state of the Artsakh Republic and Armen Tovmasyan, minister of economy and agriculture.
President Harutyunyan welcomed "Navasard AGRO" company, ministry of economy and agriculture, ministry of labour, social affairs and migration, the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between Machkalashen community of Martuni region and noted that the success of the project in Machkalashen will give an opportunity to expand it, to include new settlements and to contribute to the creation of agricultural output, to solve the problem of employment and income of the villagers, as well as cultural creation of state-private sector-community cooperation.
According to the agreement, the state is responsible for the construction of the poultry farm and the purchase of birds, and ''Navasard AGRO'' company manages the project and sells the products. Thanks to the program, the issue of employment of about 50 families will be solved: each family will take care of 300 birds, for which they will receive a monthly income of about 120,000-150,000 AMD.
Arayik Harutyunyan stressed that the main beneficiary of the successful implementation of the program is, in a sense, the resident of the border community, whose continuous improvement of the social situation is the main task of the Artsakh authorities.
