On 12 July President of the Artsakh Republic Arayik Harutyunyan visited the Patara community of the Askeran region, got acquainted with the existing issues and gave a number of instructions on site.
The Head of the State noted that he proportionate development of the communities will always be in the spotlight of the government and works in that direction will be carried out in accordance with the priorities. Referring to the state assistance programs being realized in Patara, Arayik Harutyunyan mentioned that asphalting of 10km of road leading from the "North-South" highway to the community will be launched in the current year, while a new school building will be constructed, the paving of intra-community roads will continue in coming years.
During the visit, the President of the republic got acquainted with the building conditions of the Patara school, as well as visited the "Stepan Tonir-Guest House" tourist center opened by a private entrepreneur in the village and inquired about the types of activities, at the same time expressing the government's readiness to support non-traditional tourism.
