The first Constitution of the republic was adopted at the National
Referendum held on December 10, 2006. 90077 voters partook in the
Referendum, with 77279 voters or 98.58% of the participants voted for
and 554 voters or 0.7% of the participants voted against the acceptance
of the Main Law.
The second Constitution of the Artsakh Republic was adopted at the
National Referendum held on February 20, 2017. 103 818 voters partook in
the Referendum, with 69 570 voters or 87,6 % of the participants voting
for and 7 686 voters or 9.7% of the participants voting against the
acceptance of the Main Law.
The Constitution consists of the preamble and 12 chapters.
In the republic the day of the Constitutional Referendum is a holiday and a non-working day.
